What are the 6 C's of Motivation

Page history last edited by Tara Scott 13 years, 8 months ago

The 6 C's of motivation were named by Turner & Paris (1995) and describe six aspects of motivating tasks that were initially conceived of by Ames (1992) and Lepper and Hodell (1989).  The 6 C's of motivation are based on the concepts of "open" and "closed" literacy tasks

  1. Choice
  2. Control
  3. Challenge
  4. Collaboration
  5. Constructing Meaning
  6. Consequences

What are the technological tools that can support the 6 C's in a literacy classroom?
